Kids' Time Out Fundraiser

Mountain Sprouts Children’s Community (MSCC) is proud to partner with the Vox Docs Film Festival to provide engaging and fun activities for kids!  We are offering childcare to parents in our community so they can attend the film fest (which takes place at the Snowy Owl Theater), though anyone can use this childcare even if they do not attend the film fest.

For your involvement activity in March we would like your help by volunteering in two hour shifts!

Parent volunteers will play movies, provide snacks, lead arts and crafts projects, and take kids on nature walks.   You are welcome to follow the activities or make up your own!

Age range:  3-10

You may bring your own kids for free!

The kids will bring their own sack lunches/dinners, but we will provide a snack.  They may also bring labeled pillows, blankets, and toys.

The Fundraising Committee will take care of set up, take down and making sure the needed materials are at the facility. All you have to do is show up for your shift and have fun with the kids!

Please email Britny at info@mtnsprouts.org or sign-up in the classroom for a shift. We need 3 parents for each shift.

Friday, March 20 Shift:  6:30pm - 9:30pm

Saturday, March 21 Shifts:

11:30am - 1:30pm, 1:30pm - 3:30pm, 3:30pm - 5:30pm, 5:30pm - 7:30 pm

Strategic Planning Committee

Our purpose is to develop and maintain guiding principals, goals and plans of action for MSCC.  To this ends, we produce and maintain Vision and Mission Statements, a Strategic Plan, and an Action Plan.  This committee does not meet formally on a regular basis, but does regular monthly work toward our ends.

Feedback from all members of our community is important and helpful to our work, so please contact the Committee Chair, Mia Bretz at miabretz@gmail.com, to offer your thoughts and join the conversation!

Board Positions - Treasurer & General Board Members

Mountain Sprouts is a non-profit operated by a Board of Directors. Parents who participate on the Board gain personal involvement in the operation of the school. Additionally, the time on the Board will count as your monthly volunteer hours. A one-year commitment is required. We are currently looking to fill the Treasurer and general member positions.

Board meetings are the third Wednesday evening of each month for 2-3 hours and there is generally some individual work throughout the month to accomplish the specific tasks of the position. If you are interested or know any community members that may be interested, please contact Mia at: miabretz@gmail.com

If you would like to participate on a committee or may be interested in a future Board position, please also contact Mia. We look forward to hearing from you and together making Mountain Sprouts continually better!

Parent Involvement Program

Parent Involvement Program  We love our Sprouts Parents! It is with parent involvement that Sprouts is able to have a high quality school for as low a price as possible for families and to build our children's community.

Families can choose to either volunteer for two hours each month (per student) or contribute financially to help support our small program.
