Kendal Scott, a native of Western WA, has a background working with children of all ages in outdoor education settings across Utah, Idaho, Washington, and Alaska, but preschoolers have always been her favorite group to take outdoors. Kendal graduated with a degree in Recreation Management from Brigham Young University-Idaho before moving to Salt Lake City, where she completed a Masters in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with an emphasis in Experiential Education at the University of Utah. She is a certified Environmental Educator and Master Naturalist of Alpine Environments and has worked developing environmental education curriculum and theory based programs for connecting children to nature. She believes in the power of the outdoors for facilitating the best kinds of teachable moments as well as a lifetime love of learning in both students and herself. Kendal loves hiking, baking, snowboarding, fishing, and skateboarding.
