Mountain Sprouts hosts educational nature-based camps every summer for campers to explore the natural world with enthusiastic teachers as their guides. We foster a learning environment where children are creatively engaged in their natural surroundings, have the opportunity to learn and grow through purposeful, hands on, experiential play. MSCC camps are full nature-immersion so please drop your child off ready to adventure outside all day. This summer, MSCC teachers Morgan & Lisa will be guiding preschool camps. Morgan and Roxy will lead Discovery camps.

Camp information
Buzz, Flutter, Flap
Get ready to crawl, wiggle, buzz, and flap your way through a week of fun! This week, campers become bug & bird investigators. They will hunt for insects, build bug hotels, and mix up their very own bug juice. They will listen for bird calls, build nests, and use binoculars. We'll see how many feathered and armored critters we can find in just four days!
Garden Camp
Join us at Tierra Organics, Tierra Learning Center’s organic farm, for four days of garden immersion. We'll spend each morning in the garden learning, exploring, harvesting and experimenting with the growing bounty. Afternoons will be spent relaxing and playing in Barn Canyon.
Once Upon a Time
There's no better place to let our imaginations take flight than in the forest. Together we'll transform the trees into a castle, the beach into a deserted island, and the trails into enchanted pathways. With costumes, stories, and friends, our week together will be the most magical story ever told! It’s no coincidence it’s called Enchantment Park.
Riverside Adventure
There's no doubt that hanging out by the river is one of the best parts of summer in Leavenworth. During these weeks, we'll take campers down to the beach to play in the sand, explore local flora & fauna, and dip their toes in the water. The river ecology is a unique part of our local environment and campers will take four days to learn about and enjoy this unique part of our home. Swimming will not be allowed, but campers should be ready to get their feet wet if desired!
Outdoor Artists
This week, campers will channel their inner Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, and others as we explore famous artists and create our own nature-inspired art. From painting with leaves to sculpting with sticks, every day is a chance to turn the outdoors into our canvas. Get ready to splash, squish, and scribble your way through a colorful week of creative fun!
Planet protectors
Campers will become Planet Protectors as they explore the Fish Hatchery grounds and learn how to care for the Earth. We'll introduce Leave No Trace strategies and practice how to be respectful visitors to nature. Campers will discover ways to protect the land, plants, fish, and animals around us through small actions that make a big impact, like picking up trash, staying on trails, and observing wildlife from a distance. We'll talk about erosion, polution, stewardship, and more!
